The product of a military household, local girl Sharon was born at the Bethesda Navy Hospital in Maryland. She started her travel career in 1982 after finishing college with a Bachelor of Science in Society and Mass Communication. She credits her initial interest in travel to the glamour and excitement of the industry in the 80's. Her strengths in the travel management process reflect years of experience with equal emphasis on customer service and managerial skills. She has an 11-year-old son, Alex, who loves motorcycling and paint balling, as well as two cats adopted from a local shelter.
